effort of life | framed camellia

$0.00
sold out

camellia flower woven into cloth using a freestyle method of weaving, meaning no “unweaving” or backtracking allowed. for me, flowers have been a constant symbol of growth and the beauty of vulnerability. the cloth “floats” in a frame and feels delicate and gentle, but also protected by a strong frame. while the piece has more feminine qualities in its nature, it feels simply very human.

frame: 12.25 × 15.25 inches.

98% cotton, 2% raw silk (leaves and stem).

naturally dyed with cochineal, mimosa, and madder root.
