on one end completely patterned, on the other end completely blank. but the transition is slow and gradual (like most things in this life). this piece was such a pleasure to make, and the longer i sit with it, the greater the impact it has on me. something about watching it fade away, allowing things to lose their power, surrendering to the overwhelming fullness of emptiness. i envisioned this as a decorative piece - like a nightstand or altar cloth - but it’s also a tightly woven, stable cloth made with excellent cotton, and it can be used however you please.
made from 100% cotton grown in the united states. mostly undyed material, but the subtle peachy/pink cotton is dyed with safflower.
